Prod removed
editI agree that this article is a bit light-weight. However, I just referenced the claim about her being the first female DC-10 pilot to her website; at the very least, she claims that, and I don't see anything saying otherwise. And I guess I am reluctant to see it removed because there aren't a lot of articles about female aviation figures. Her article has also gotten negative attention over the years because she got into the business as a "scab" (and perhaps a bit of sexism and envy as well). I think if she is the first American female DC-10 pilot that, in combination with her media attention, the article probably imho scrapes up enough notability.Brianyoumans (talk) 17:19, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
- The word "Scab" amounts to vile hate speech, that is frequently used by militant Union Leaders and/or rank-n-file members, against those who choose to exercise their LAWFUL RIGHTS to work for any employer that refuses to allow union strikes to shut them down. Such hate terms should not be tolerated in any Wikipedia article, any more than hate terms referencing females or persons of various ethnicity, or those who choose various kinds of sexual expression. Now Deceased
editHer website indicates she finally lost the battle with metastasized cancer. I added the date of her death in the article. EditorASC (talk) 06:21, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
