I'm pretty sure we're conflating two different people here edit

At the moment I don't have the time to fully deal with this, to check and substantiate everything and untangle the separate biographical details, but I'm pretty sure Malumatçı Mehmed Tahir and the Mehmed Tahir who ran Hanımlara Mahsus Gazete and was married to Fatma Şadiye, İbnü'l-Hakkı Mehmed Tahir, were two different people.

Malumatçı Mehmed Tahir did publish his newspaper named Maulumat and published a supplement of that called Hanımlara Mahsus Malumat.

But this is a totally different and separate paper from Hanımlara Mahsus Gazete for which İbnü'lhakkı Mehmed Tahir was the sahib-i imtiyaz (holder of official license to publish.)

I have full confidence that the papers are separate, but substantiating the separateness of the two Mehmed Tahirs is a bit more difficult as these two, and especially İbnü'lhakkı Mehmed Tahir, are relatively obscure figures.

The main evidence I have of this right now off top of my head is that Hanımlara Mahsus Gazete ran a disclaimer for a number of issues,(sorry, I don't remember exactly which) when Malumatçı Mehmed Tahir had landed himself and his papers in some sort of trouble with the Hamidian regime or something, that Hanımlara Mahsus Gazete had no affiliation with Hanımlara Mahsus Malumat despite their similar titles, and its that despite the fact that its sahib-i imtiyaz was also named Mehmed Tahir, he was not the same person as, and had no affiliation with the Mehmed Tahir who ran Malumat. But It's been a while since I was working on this so it would take some time and effort to track down both these disclaimers, some more external substantiation that these were two separate people. It would take additional time of course to untangle the rest of the biographical info presented here.

Also, for what it's worth, I do believe it's correct that both these Mehmed Tahirs are separate and distinct from Bursalı Mehmed Tahir, as already indicated. Opgreen (talk) 15:24, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
