Metric units

Did anyone consider whether "kilometer" should be spelt "kilometre"? I take "kilometer" to be US English spelling, and this article seems not to be US-related. Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 09:03, 31 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Because this article doesn't have a strong tie to any English-speaking country, it's fine for it to use any national variety of English. The article currently uses US spelling, which should be retained unless there's a good reason to switch to another variety. WP:ENGVAR is the relevant guideline. —Mx.
