Thank you for nominating this article. No disamb. links or invalid external links. I have driven on this road when going to the "Last Train to Boston Marathon" held on the APG.

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    "MD 24–MD 165 intersection"->" MD 24 – MD 165 intersection" - need spaces under my reading of WP:DASH
    "US 1–MD 24 concurrency. The US 1–MD 24 intersection"->"US 1 – MD 24 concurrency. The US 1 – MD 24 intersection" - same problem.
    Fixed dash issues.  V 05:59, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    "The loop ramp was added in anticipation" - need source.
    I removed the "anticipation" clause because that was speculation on my part.  V 05:59, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    Continues south of the terminus on the base as Hoadley Road.
    Why omit the intersection with Trimble Road in the route description?
    Other than the proposed interchange with MD 924, is there any other construction proposed or planned?
    I mentioned the future upgrade of the Bel Air Bypass. There is a project involving slope protection on MD 24 through Rocks State Park, but it is more maintenance than a significant upgrade. Why should Hoadley Road or Trimble Road be mentioned in the Route description?  V 05:59, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    This is subjective, but MD 24 is a limited controlled access road primarily serving the APG. I hope that the route description does not create the impression that it serves the APG exclusively. This is the same logic as the "last exit before toll booth" signs on some highways. In other words, for general traffic, the southern terminus is Trimble Road. You mention PA SR 2055 north of the designation, why not mention Hoadley Road south of the designation? Racepacket (talk) 01:23, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    MD 24 is not limited access (i.e., freeway) and the article does not say it is. The article also does not imply there are no intersections with non-notable roads. That means it can have intersections with other roads that may not be not notable enough to be mentioned in the Route description. The fact that the road continues into Pennsylvania as PA 2055 is supported by a source. I do not have a source other than Google's street labels, which are occasionally incorrect, for Hoadley Road; the name of that street is probably not notable because, as you imply, general traffic does not enter APG.  V 02:32, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    It is not a freeway, but the adjacent landowners do not have a right to access it with driveways, so it is an "expressway." What can we do to explain the situation to the readers in the article? The article correctly states, "a two-lane controlled access highway that passes between residential subdivisions in Edgewood." Can we say that intersections up through Trimble Road provide access to Edgewood and beyond that point traffic is subject to APG security? Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 15:38, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
    There are many public webpages which indicate that Hoadley Road is the continuation on base of MD 24. For example, the directions given on http://www.apg.army.mil/apghome/sites/installation/Chaplain/directions.html, just Google "Hoadley Road APG"
    I added that the roadway continues into APG as Hoadley Road and that the highway intersects Trimble Road in Edgewood.  V 16:59, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
