Updated with Scholarly Research from Mary Corse: A Survey in Light edit

I've updated much of the information in the "Work" section with research pulled from Mary Corse: A Survey in Light, the catalogue from Corse's exhibition of the same name, exhibited in 2018 Whitney Museum of American Art and in 2019 at LACMA. Bgeijer (talk), 24 October 2018

Description of light works as Minimalist edit

While Mary Corse's light works have formal similarities with Minimalism, she is not directly affiliated with the movement. Her focus on surface effect in her painted and sculptural works, particularly as they are described in the oral history interview held by the Getty Museum, demonstrate a different philosophy. Also, she does not engage directly in the philosophical debates around Minimal Art or show with Minimal artists in the time period. Luc1daB (talk) 19:34, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Pristine" Finish of White Light paintings edit

The early White Light paintings had visible brushstrokes. More recent work shows a "pristine" finish. This article could use expansion to discuss the evolution of the style because Corse's work with this material has spanned almost five decades. Luc1daB (talk) 20:43, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
