I understand (believe?), as per policy she is a living person, not dead. Since, well duh. No obituary (but a quick search will show for her colleagues/contemporaries A&W). Let's hustle, yo. Ema--or (talk) 20:16, 11 February 2021 (UTC) Q Is re-org a major edit? Ema--or (talk) 23:23, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

editMy former baby ... all grown up! Ema--or (talk) 16:44, 15 February 2021 (UTC) ps Surely no longer a stub? Ema--or (talk) 17:01, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Regarding article assessment/class: this article is definitely still a stub. Here is an example of a Start class article: Ring-tailed cardinalfish from our page on article assessment Wikipedia:Content assessment. You can look these things up too by searching, starting with WP: or Wikipedia: followed by a search term. I'm curious why you don't you improve the article yourself? Netherzone (talk) 17:35, 15 February 2021 (UTC) Add ping to editor asking question Ema--or. - Netherzone (talk) 19:12, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- I already saw it >1hr ago, no need. Ema--or (talk) 19:17, 15 February 2021 (UTC) One thing I missed at first, and that struck me a few days ago, was why you asked me to search Wikipedia for Mansigh. That seems a bit odd. Explain? Ema--or (talk) 21:45, 22 February 2021 (UTC) Answer - Well much of it has already been done. Maybe 80-90%. Also, my original goal was to be midwife, and now the lab. pains are almost over (self-contradiction p'haps?). Take that she's relatively obscure, so I don't think it can be substantially improved w/out new research articles ie orig. material. Still, maybe, though .... Ema--or (talk) 19:51, 15 February 2021 (UTC) Hey. More thoughts below. Cheers Ema--or (talk) 20:22, 16 February 2021 (UTC) Maybe add a new legacy section, but it would be short, mayn't be needed. Ema--or (talk) 03:19, 17 February 2021 (UTC) I've decided to try n' prove why my statements on improving article are correct. (Links sect, for more) Ema--or (talk) 19:48, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Biog.
editAlso, problem with biographical, (spellcheck says, pigographical? autom. nonsense), research on public registers, that is otherwise circumstantial, and credible, but unverified. editM. R. Mansigh. Might this be her? Ema--or (talk) 19:05, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
It seems she has (or might have) other aliases or, at least initials. Ema--or (talk) 19:07, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
I think so. Seen a couple things, done few searches on bing. Ema--or (talk) 19:12, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
Bingo. I really, really think so. [1] (from Ancestry pagesite).I saw this a few times on bing. It seems so. Everything fits. Ema--or (talk) 19:18, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
Seems really is Minnesotan. There is her maiden surname on a 1950s graduation register. Also, she seemingly wedded a Nord, and so has a Scand married surname. Ema--or (talk) 01:58, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

With the recent (IMO sad) developments, I have chosen to move my stuff over here so I don't get disciplined too much (nothing's too much for - good trouble!). Oooh, 'cause some people, you know they're angry with me.....Ema--or (talk) 12:24, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
As for notability, I say she's notable in her very small scientific community (computational physical sciences). Ema--or (talk) 17:38, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
This thing's way too close for my liking. If you care about this subject, then come on and edit! Ema--or (talk) 02:14, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Woe, or is wow? Fruediantypos! This afd thing is deadlock! Ema--or (talk) 02:29, 13 February 2021 (UTC) --M<ary tsingou-- I find her most comparable to tsingou. Whaddya think??? Ema--or (talk) 18:09, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

A little sth
editHowdy there, this stuff falls most relevantly under this place. Reading through my stuff I see some inconsistencies (speller says inconsistences) btw my mainspace and afd debate statements. I'd like to request advice on this issue. I want to act in a timely manner before the closure of this discussion, which's imminent and could happen anytime. "Danke wel"! Goin' out for some air now ... Ema--or (talk) 19:00, 16 February 2021 (UTC) Expl.: I've already apologized to some of these groups. Do I do again? Don't know they'd be glad, ha. Ema--or (talk) 20:29, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
Unfortunately, no answer. Would’ve loved one before the closure, or any at all. Now I’m going to try initiatives to fix things. Ema--or (talk) 18:04, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Some more - so as not overload mn. article [4], [5], [6] Ema--or (talk) 02:36, 13 February 2021 (UTC) Note that 3&4 added into article/discussed by others, so not really new. Ema--or (talk) 20:04, 18 February 2021 (UTC) It seems now that adding refs to reach @pprox tot., of say 30, will not help anymore, and may even clutter. (Although, Clutter may be relative. Mansigh mention in wainwright’s obit. Ema--or (talk) 21:45, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
There are also no large numbers of addnl., high qual., ext. links. This has to do with the obscurity of this individual, the long time since retirement (and longer,) blossoming of career, the normal pay walls guarding research (edit - not so much of an obstacle in this case Ema--or (talk) 02:59, 18 February 2021 (UTC)). Maybe three or four, total, from what I see. Ema--or (talk) 02:57, 17 February 2021 (UTC) It seems much of the ?searchable? internet, has nothing or little to offer; plenty fruit already picked. One tactic might be to use other search tools. More else in rest of space-time (ie elsewhere/later). Ema--or (talk) 19:58, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
About getting new stuff for this article... hmm. This looks a tough, hard, long, .. slog, on first sight. This thing certainly requires one to go all in, and not pull out - and it'll certainly need good seeing to for a while. Gotta to put the back into it. The online search, that is. Lots of time, love and tenderness - but also creativity (look, I gotta make this fun for me/have fun with this). Sum: "...not easy. Mostly primary sources and materials are research and lecture notes (mostly pdfs and few ppts)." Ema--or (talk) 02:59, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Apologies for bad writing ie prose, in advance. Argument/Proposition. Improving article is hard, long, tough, backbreaking... Proof. Formally, of course, very shoddy and not tight. It will take hundreds of hours, and thus weeks, even months. There a lot of pdfs mentioning Mansigh, maybe a few dozen, putting them in the article, may not necessarily make it better. apparently, none of the other stuff academics use, eg ps, tex, dvi, no docs (for the non-techies, or oldies/old-timers), and only one ppt found thus far. Then google books, and limited previews, as well as paywalls, though these two are not too crippling. Then there’s the issue of verifiable biographical information. Using all the dozens of search engines I know or could, conceivably, find or think of, and research archives, using all the search terms and tricks (as well as thinking up new ones), will take a bloody long time. Also returns(-/"space")diminishing. Also see alternate version of article here Mansigh article, as I may've written, w/o (outside) help. Cannot do this alone. Need others to help, and probably coordinate to avoid duplication of effort (see todo). Qed It seems we are very close to the ceiling Ema--or (talk) 20:29, 19 February 2021 (UTC) Link to article class.

Tsingou/Mansigh correspondence
editNB - this is a move. Ema--or (talk) 08:57, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
As I've said someplace else, the two seem mightily similar in terms of career trajectory and contributions. Ema--or (talk) 02:51, 12 February 2021 (UTC) ps Or is it Mansigh/Tsingou correspondence, or Tsingou-Mansigh/Tsingou-Mansigh correspondence - I'm laughably, endlessly confused by the permutational nomenclature. Ema--or (talk) 02:57, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- I see you have created a lot of threads on this page without getting much input. That can happen on WP, people spend their time on what they think they should. You could try WP:APPNOTEing. And congratulations on creating this article, which turned out ok. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:40, 27 February 2021 (UTC) Gee, thanks yo. Much as my arrogant self would love to claim all the glory, and not share credit as I don't like to, this one was a team-work. As for notifying notifications - don't get me started... Ema--or (talk) 22:02, 1 March 2021 (UTC) But I will discuss it later... Ema--or (talk) 22:02, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
As I prepare to walk away, I must thank all but credit one particular person/editor/user, British. May you never lack in finance, British(finance)! Give it up for him/her/them. Ema--or (talk) 23:34, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
too much
editApparently all this is too much, so I've been told. I will discuss. More on this later.Ema--or (talk) 21:00, 13 March 2021 (UTC) See here, (or) bottom of my talk page, for full(er) discussion. Ema--or (talk) 23:43, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Here's my reply. Time has cooled things down, and changed my original plan.
I might've been tempted to show defiance, or fly into debate but it doesn't serve any purpose and frankly am tired from the whole afd affair. Still I got a few things to point out.
I've exhausted my role in this conversation, for now at least.
Since my warning(s) and thread closure, I've also to attempted engage with any other poster in this page, and stay relevant. But to anyone, if they don't like all "this stuff", then feel free to close (per headbomb), archive, or otherwise move my comments. That's all. Ema--or (talk) 20:52, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
