Conflict of interest

edit

Noting that the author of this article, Ideation269, has stated on Commons (albeit while logged out) that they are Malcolm Collett, the article's subject. The user uploaded a lot of Collett's artwork and that of his contemporaries, which has since all been deleted for lacking VRT confirmation. --Belbury (talk) 17:04, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please remove.,all have been corrected. Ideation269 (talk) 17:22, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Most of the current article is lacking sources. That Malcolm Collett wrote a lot of it himself is relevant context for that, until it can be verified. Belbury (talk) 17:29, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can you let me know what needs to be sourced? I have corrected all as far as I know. Thanks! Ideation269 (talk) 13:23, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Pretty much everything. You've replaced most of the citation needed tags with the home pages of institutions, links to Wikipedia articles, and phrases like "Vancouver Expo 1986", despite me trying to explain what citations are for on your talk page. The mere mentioned existence of Vancouver Expo 1986 does not confirm to the reader that you worked on the pavilion there.
Sources must confirm the statements for which they are a footnote. They can be offline newspaper articles or book chapters, but they have to confirm the statement. This must be done even if you find the idea "ludicrous".
I have added back the templates so you can see what sources are missing.
You should also, again, not be adding new content to your own biography on Wikipedia per WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. If you want to add an unsourced paragraph about how you have produced numerous commercials over the years for advertising and government agencies, you should make an edit request on this talk page rather than adding it directly. Ok I am requesting an edit request for the added phrase “produced numerous commercials over the years for advertising and government agencies.” Ideation269 (talk) 13:22, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
This statement would need to include a source. Do you have a source for it? Belbury (talk) 16:11, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Most of my animation work was done for advertising agencies over the years. I doubt if some of them are still around. How would I verify this statement? Ideation269 (talk) 23:28, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Edit request please. Ideation269 (talk) 23:25, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not done, this statement would need to include a source. Belbury (talk) 07:33, 19 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I attended The Vancouver School of Art in September of 1969. The art programs was a 4 year term. This principal of the school was Fred Amess. I graduated in animation in April 1973. A few years later the Vancouver School of Art was engulfed into The Emily College of Art and Design and relocated to Granville Island, Vancouver. Ideation269 (talk) 23:23, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
