international caps/goals edit
Hi all, I noticed Bonne has a 'List of international goals' section even though the infobox suggested he never actually scored an international goal. As is often the case, I had waded too far in before I spotted where the discrepancy comes from, so apologies, and hopefully we can come to a consensus here and revert my changes if necessary.
The confusion comes from the match in 2014. It is stated in The Herald that "The Zimbabweans named an U-23s side to face Morocco's full team". However, the game is listed as a FIFA cap on National-Football-Teams so this sounds to me like the manager's preference rather than any age restrictions. The same article states "ZIFA dissolved the senior national team following a disastrous 2015 Nations Cup qualifying campaign", so the U23s was the senior team at the time?
If FIFA class it as a full international then I suppose we should too? With that in mind I removed the U23 section from the infobox and combined it all into the senior team. But international football is not my forte so happy to discuss in case anyone knows better. Nonleagueapps (talk) 16:58, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
