Cause of death edit

Cause of death: ischaemia of what exactly? Every death is actually due to ischaemia. JFW | T@lk 22:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Odd commentary about the Carnegie Hall concert edit

This statement is surprising: "Bonfá became a highly visible ambassador of Brazilian music in the United States beginning with the infamous November 1962 bossa nova concert at New York's Carnegie Hall."

Does someone know why the adjective infamous? Or is this a typo, and the real meaning is famous? --AVM 17:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Huge discography" edit

In the Legacy section, the article mentions: "But Bonfá's huge discography also attests to his uniquely inventive mastery of Brazilian jazz guitar". Yet such a discography is nowhere to be seen in the article: obviously someone has failed to do this piece of homework, so far. --AVM (talk) 12:23, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Gotye edit

The Gotye mention looks a bit out of place. I mean, it's kinda relevant considering how popular the song was, but Bonfá's life and music isn't really related to that artist and to that song. It's just a sample, i wouldn't mention it in the article. Besides it's not the only sample of one of Bonfá's songs.

Perhaps a "Samples" section, there you guys can name other artists who sampled Bonfá's recordings: Nujabes (a lot), Amon Tobin, etc. But i think that still it wouldn't belong to the article. Unlike some other bands that has been extensively sampled: The Isley Brothers, Isaac Hayes, James Brown... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.220.233.212 (talk) 23:34, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
