The first sentence is at the moment :

Lokomotiv is the Russian sports club and a member of the International Railway Sports Association.

I guess that it should be:

Lokomotiv is a Russian sports club and a member of the International Railway Sports Association.

As I have no knowledge in URSS nor Russia, I would like a second opinion.
