Talk:Loddiges family

All in all this is an excellent article, however, it really is deficient in citations. I've added the best citation I can find for the quote from Darwin, and a map of the locality from Bath Spa. However, the article does need to reference the facts and show sources. Even listing the original sources would improve it n-fold. Also, removed the architecture flag, it was a little tenuous.Kbthompson 14:19, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Split into notable family members edit

This "dynastic" arrangement of several individually notable people strikes me as outmoded here. The narrative arc isn't really our house style. I think splitting the article, though requiring some work, would be justified. Charles Matthews (talk) 18:57, 19 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have split out George Loddiges. Shyamal (talk) 10:50, 6 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Charles Matthews that it should be split, with the scope of this page narrowed to just the father, in which case we would move it to Joachim Conrad Loddiges, while separate articles are created for elder son William Loddiges (1776–1847), and Loddiges and Sons is created to focus on the nursery business. Thank you Shyamal for creating George Loddiges for the younger son. I will wait a week for comments, and if I don't hear back I will go ahead with these BOLD changes.Derpythorki (talk) 13:21, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

What's the status of this Derpythorki? A. C. Santacruz Talk 14:18, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Let's leave it as it now is - it's really the history of a business. Johnbod (talk) 18:07, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Citations edit

A large portion of the citations is listed only as "Jenny 2008" with no other explanation and does not count as a sufficient citation. Does anybody know what would fit as a suitable replacement instead of that? MrMeAndMrMeContributions 17:56, 10 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
