Lists of county governors of Norway → Lists of County Governors of Norway — Relisted. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:41, 2 June 2010 (UTC) Relisted. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:18, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
This page was recently moved to a page removing the capitalisation. The term County Governor is, however, capitalised in its own article, and there needs to be consistency. If the original mover is opposed to this capitalisation, he should take it up also on that page. Lampman (talk) 12:55, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. I believe on the other hand that the article should be moved to County governor. The general function is not capitalized, the individual one is ("there are many county governors, including the County Governor of Troms, ..."), just like we would do with e.g. nobility ("there are many earls in England, including the Earl of Whitbrook, ...). It is e.g. also not capitalized in this book by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development or this book by the Council of Europe, or this book published by the University of California about the municipal government in Norway. The vast majority of books found through Google search[1] uses the uncapitalized version of the words. Fram (talk) 13:46, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
(by the way, it wasn't recently moved but nearly two years ago. That doesn't change anything though). Fram (talk) 13:47, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Question for User:Fram - To be sure I'm understanding, are you suggesting that we have two articles, one called County Governor and one called County governor? -GTBacchus(talk) 16:39, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, one article County governor, just like we have one article Rear admiral, because the job is "rear admiral", and an individual is Rear Admiral Jones. Fram (talk) 06:22, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Neutral I would however suggest mobving County Governor to County Governor (Norway) (or County governor (Norway)) to further distinguish the Norwegian article (County Governor) from the general article (County governor). 84.92.117.93 (talk) 22:59, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose, as explained by Fram, and instead move County Governor to County governor (Norway), move County governor to County governor (Lithuania), and make county governor into a dab page. Ucucha 18:07, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
