Atlantic
- 1989 Atlantic hurricane season - 1989's Tropical Storm Karen formed near Isle of Youth, bringing heavy rainfall and some damage to Cuba, but no casualties
- 1995 Atlantic hurricane season - 1995's Tropical Storm Karen was a minimal storm that was absorbed by Hurricane Iris (1995)
- Hurricane Karen (2001) - caused moderate damage and sank some ships in Bermuda as an extratropical storm, later made landfall at Nova Scotia as a tropical storm
- Hurricane Karen (2007) - Category 1 hurricane in the tropical Atlantic, never approached land
Western Pacific
- 1948 Pacific typhoon season - 1948's Super Typhoon Karen remained over open waters
- 1952 Pacific typhoon season - 1952's Typhoon Karen struck South Korea
- 1956 Pacific typhoon season - 1956's Typhoon Karen/Lucille crossed northern Philippines
- 1960 Pacific typhoon season - 1960's Typhoon Karen left 56 dead and 7,000 homeless in the Philippines
- 1962 Pacific typhoon season - 1962's Typhoon Karen destroyed 95% of the buildings on Guam and caused 11 deaths overall, resulting in its retirement.

Well when i added this years i left a little space at the edge as PAGASA is within the WPAC naming system, also i would have this years name pointing at this years article. Jason Rees (talk) 23:47, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
- When Japanese people talk about typhoons, they always use JMA designation (e.g. T6228, 28th typhoon in 1962) rather than typhoon names (e.g. Karen). Please refer to List of historic tropical cyclone names#Japan. So I'd like to add JMA designation to each typhoon.--HERB (talk) 12:45, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
