Other two Wrenbury lift bridges edit

There are three listed Wrenbury liftbridges (the other two are Wrenbury Frith Bridge [1] & Wrenbury Church Bridge [2], which are both grade II*) -- are the other two not scheduled also? Espresso Addict (talk) 14:14, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think they must be, but the evidence was not clear. Images of England does not say either way. Pastscape includes the one I have included here but not the other ones. The Schedule of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest in Crewe and Nantwich here includes all three bridges, plus the 19th-century road bridge, plus many more; they cannot all be scheduled. Which leaves us with Revealing Cheshire's Past. This also includes the one I have included here, but not the others. However it does state "Two others are also scheduled on this canal". As all date from the same time, were designed by the same architect, and are of the same type, I am happy to accept that all three are scheduled and I will include them. Thanks for spotting this. Why can sources not supply the information better?--Peter I. Vardy (talk) 15:59, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think they must be the two other bridges that Revealing Cheshire's Past mentions in passing, but I don't understand why they don't rate a mention on the other sites, especially as the two footbridges are far closer to the original Telford design as they haven't been altered to take road traffic. One wonders what other SMs are missing.... Espresso Addict (talk) 17:02, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Quite!--Peter I. Vardy (talk) 17:47, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
The National Heritage List for England includes only the one bridge as a SAM so I've deleted the other two. --82.69.55.220 (talk) 22:39, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
