COI edit

I have a serious concern that one of the involved editors has a serious Conflict of Interest. Every attempt to improve the article and make it less of a sideshow of the Korean Wikipedia is reverted. The Banner talk 12:08, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

What I don't understand is why are you labeling this a conflict of interest? I have been editing Korean content for five years now, with the majority of articles I edit and have created are not related to SBS. I'm not even Korean and I don't live in Korea. I'm just interest in the TV series and the culture. You can go and check the article I made and my history. Also, you keep reverting things without any reason. I used template:ill, which you reverted for no reason. The guidelines were against you. Per Help:Interlanguage_links#Inline_links: If a red link is not appropriate locally for whatever reason, such as because the subject does not appear to be notable or because you are unable to supply an English translation of the title, then linking a page in another language may be useful. The red link informs readers that the page does not exist locally, thus inviting its creation, and avoiding directing readers to a page that many of them will not understand. The disadvantage is that it conceals the existence of the foreign-language page, which might in itself be of interest to some readers, and may also be valuable to anyone wishing to create a corresponding English Wikipedia article. That is why template:ill is added. Then a link was added to the Korean Wikipedia page, which contain more info, but you removed it without a reason too. The links are added because we are not allowed to create individual pages because of WP:NOTTVGUIDE. If linking to other language is against Wikipedia guidelines, Wikipedia would not link to other language Wikipedia articles on the left box. Moreover, you are removing the link to the foreign-language page, which might in itself be of interest to some readers, and may also be valuable to anyone wishing to create a corresponding English Wikipedia article. I would not revert your changes if there were rules against linking to other language Wikipedia (The original language article). But to me, it seems you just doing things based on your opinion, since you have not, even once, provided a valid reason. In what way are the extra info bad and need to be removed? Please provide a reason. ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 14:11, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
To me, you act like the marketing department of SBS pushing in as many Korean links as possible without realizing that a majority of the people on Wikipedia can not read that. That is why it is a better idea to make articles in the English language. The Banner talk 10:18, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
How can you accuse me of being the marketing department of SBS without any proof? Just because I added the template:ill, which I have done if a million other pages, don't mean I'm affiliated with SBS. I have been editing Korean content, not just SBS content, for years now. In addition, why would SBS be pushing for links to the Korean Wikipedia articles? That doesn't make sense. Also, "majority of the people on Wikipedia can not read that" doesn't mean we should not link it since the foreign-language page, might in itself be of interest to some readers, and may also be valuable to anyone wishing to create a corresponding English Wikipedia article. The Korean Wikipedia are the original language pages which provide additional information and are more updated. We can use the Korean pages to find more info and update the English list (Which I have done to add a couple of TV series that are missing from the list). Moreover, you remove the template:ill and keep only red links which is discouraged by Help:Interlanguage_links#Inline_links as I stated above. In the end, you have not provided any guidelines or rules, only accursed me of having Conflict of Interest just because you disagree with my edits, which is against WP:FOC and File:Disputeresolution.svg. So, you did not, and still doesn't, have valid reason to revert my edits and you are doing it based on your opinion only. ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 11:13, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
The usefulness depends pretty much on "useful for whom", and Wikipedia does address readers with different background and interests. Another set of guidelines stating red links are necessary, Per WP:RED: A red link signifies that the linked-to page does not exist‍—‌it either never existed, or previously existed but has been deleted. It is useful while editing articles to add a red link to indicate that a page will be created soon or that an article should be created for the topic because the subject is notable and verifiable. Red links help Wikipedia grow. The creation of red links prevents new pages from being orphaned from the start. Do not remove red links unless you are certain that Wikipedia should not have an article on the subject, or if the red link could be replaced with a link to an article section where the subject is covered as part of a broader topic. ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 08:20, 11 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Splitting proposal edit

I propose the section List of programs broadcast by Seoul Broadcasting System#Dramas be split into a separate page called List of Seoul Broadcasting System drama series. In the section, the number of drama series is enormous. -St3095 (?) 13:51, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Reformatted the section by subsecting and replacing lists with tables. Plpm2021 (talk) 14:13, 3 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
