Redundant article? edit

Given that some 10,000 or so people worked at Bletchley Park, and that the Blechley Park Trust maintains a 'Roll of Honour' that is far far more comprehensive than this site, does it really perform a useful function? --TedColes (talk) 11:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

The evidence for the fact that a person worked at Bletchley Park is easily available from the BP Trust's Roll of Honour, so what is the point of adding {{Citation needed}} to entries? If this article is to serve a useful purpose, it needs a clearer focus, even adding "notable" to the title might help, although that would doubtless give rise to disagreements. --TedColes (talk) 11:19, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Citation needed" for George McVittie edit

McVittie's entry was marked as "Citation needed". I can certainly verify that he worked at Bletchley Park; see, for example, his obituary in the Royal Astronomical Society journal quoted in

  http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~history/Obits2/McVittie_RAS_Obituary.html.

I haven't cited this in a footnote in my revision of the page, simply because of the points made earlier in this Talk page, which seem very cogent. Perhaps the best thing would be to put a link to the "Roll of Honour" web page in the last para of the "Recruitment and operation" section, and to abandon the "List" wiki page.
