Is the Orc lieutentant really named Guritz? Uthanc 09:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

It's totally unsourced, the the credits only list him as "orc general", but by that logic ANY Orc with speaking lines in the movie is a "New Character": I'm removing it. --Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici 22:01, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Bereg

Moved following stuff:

Bereg is a Rohirrim watch-over at the time of The Battle of Helm's Deep and he is called when the Elves of Lothlórien approach the gates and gives his only line, "Send for the King, open the gate!". Therefore bringing the Elves through the gates. Bereg is never seen again. Bereg was portrayed by Ray Trickett. [1] [2]

He only has one line! At least the others are more notable. Well, "Irolas" the blond Gondorian doesn't speak or appear much IIRC, but the character was originally going to be Beregond, a really important character in the book whom Jackson passed over, and his name is most likely derived from a real Tolkien name, "Iorlas". The others have notable scenes (Gothmog - 99% original - Rohirrim kids & mom, the kid at Helm's Deep, the Warg-rider, Faramir's officer, etc.) or are cult objects in some branches of fandom (Figwit). The orc who was eaten ("Snaga") is probably notable because in the book "snaga" is not a name but a Orcish word for slave. Uthanc 05:31, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
