Talk:List of decorations awarded by the United States National Guard

Latest comment: 1 year ago by 1000mm in topic National Guard Association medals

"National Guard" does not uniquely mean the U.S. National Guard - see National Guard for alternatives. Should this page be renamed to something more specific? GRBerry 14:49, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

MO 5 Year Long Service Ribbon Picture edit

The Missouri 5 year long Service Ribbon picture is flipped. Color order should be green and then yellow. See Medals Of America Online, then click on National Guard and then on MO. Cleberz (talk) 01:17, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

OMSA Inaccuracy edit

I uploaded a scan of the Wyoming awards to OMSA and it was deleted. Apparently they are not concerned with accuracy, as far as staying up to date. Of the ribbons shown, only the "Wyoming National Guard Association Medal for Excellence" is still awarded and authorized for wear. The rest are historical.

Having been in the Washington Guard as well, I also recognize that the Washington ribbons are inaccurate/incomplete. The Unit Citation ribbon shown is not the same one I was awarded a few years back (which comes up properly on various rackbuilder sites). Crimson30 (talk) 13:30, 6 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Missing image edit

If anyone has or can obtain a picture of what the Vermont Military Humanitarian Service Medal looks like, that would be appreciated. I've been unsuccessful in my own searches. I don't mind recreating it in SVG; I just need to know what it looks like. Et0048 (talk) 00:25, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Awards and decorations of the National GuardList of decorations awarded by the United States National Guard – This is to (a) match the title for United States National Guard and (b) to clearly designate this article as a list. I'm open to alternative titles, but my preference was whatever was the most WP:PRECISE. –MJLTalk 00:26, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

National Guard Association medals edit

Not from the National Guard per se, but from the National Guard Association, so highly related. [1] Shouldn't they be included in the list too, in a separate paragraph of course? 1000mm (talk) 12:41, 11 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
