I propose this page should be renamed "Calendar of saints in Orthodox Tewahedo churches" (or perhaps "Churches"). I suppose it is a list of some saints, but the article describes the calendar of saints. I am pretty sure Helena, mother of Constantine I is venerated and I am quite certain that Arsema is, but neither appears in the calendar. Either that, or move this to "List of saints in Orthodox Tewahedo churches," include those who are missing (see above; possibly also Saint Maurice?), and also include this calendar. -- Gyrofrog(talk)16:13, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Support - My understanding of this list is that it is one describing the saints venerated on a monthly basis. For instance, the Virgin Mary is venerated on the 21st of every calendar month (Ethiopian calendar) -- the same goes for us Copts (the 21st of every Coptic month is a feast day for St. Mary). So most definitely this list should be renamed to "Calendar of saints (Orthodox Tewahedo)" or something similar, just as it is for these: [1], [2], [3] — ThatCopticGuyping me! Thank you, That Coptic Guy! I didn't see this as a controversial move so much as I couldn't figure out another name for it. That said, perhaps we should keep this open a little longer. But unless someone objects or has a better idea, I agree this should be moved to "Calendar of saints (Orthodox Tewahedo)". (Left message at WT:ETHIOPIA.) -- Gyrofrog(talk)19:36, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Now that I've looked (d'oh!) we have to let this run its course, anyway, because I took the formal route. But I think, by this point (for whoevere's watching the process) it's safe to say this ought to be moved to "Calendar of saints (Orthodox Tewahedo)". -- Gyrofrog(talk)13:37, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Haha that's precisely right! It HAS been 7 days, though, and I don't think we'll be receiving many more responses... Wouldn't be controversial to initiate a move. sad that the WikiProject for Oriental Orthodoxy is as good as dead. — ThatCopticGuyping me! (talk) (contribs) 18:49, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
