Deletion? edit

I was thinking of listing this page for deletion; it just seems a bit pointless? Thoguhts? Robdurbar 11:52, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Why do you say that? I could see the argument for combining it with a list of headlands, but it seems a perfectly encyclopaedic topic. Warofdreams talk 16:06, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well for one thing there are lists of bays - though nowhere near as comprehensive, addmitedly - in the respective geogrpahical pages e.g. Geography of the United Kingdom. It just seems a bit of a needless list. I think stands at best on the edge of use and notability. Robdurbar 16:45, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • As you say, they are far less comprehensive, and they are not the best please to have a comprehensive list. This list has an increasing number of blue links, and is both useful in that it is a list of bays of the British Isles, and in finding bays without articles. Ireland needs work edit

I notice there is a complete absence of bays for the Republic of Ireland. I'll try to find a list to add since it is part of the British Isles. 83.70.170.48 (talk) 08:34, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Need to split into islands edit

Add kames bay on Cumbrea. Already Kames Bay on Loch Melfort. scope_creep (talk) 16:37, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

List of bays of Wales edit

I've assembled a List of bays of Wales which is far more comprehensive than that given here. There already exists a comprehensive List of bays of Scotland, though in a different format. This page might better serve as a list of major bays of 'these islands' - however you might define 'major'! Geopersona (talk) 14:39, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
