Redlinks

I've removed most of the entries that were redlinks and didn't seem to indicate notability. I tried to do this with a light hand (e.g. I left in CEOs of notable companies), but I may have removed some that should have stayed. If anyone notices any, feel free to replace them.

Should we perhaps decide that only persons with articles (or major sections in articles) should be included? It doesn't seem too high a bar, although I am conscious of that a page like this could encourage the writing of articles on people who might be missed otherwise. I have just removed redlinks again. In addition, there needs to be a reliable source for every item on this page. Corvus cornix_talk 02:57, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Suggested Changes

I suggest that "List of" be deleted from the title. I think the average bear can discern that it's a list. Also, Jim Braxton used to be included among the notable athletes. He was a star running back for WVU around 1970, played alongside O.J. for the Bills, and was regularly credited by O.J. as being a running back who unselfishly limited his own carries and provided blocking that helped O.J. set his yardage records. --NameThatWorks (talk) 22:55, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
