Need more ref edit

We need more references on many sections of this page. Anything beyond vol.4 onwards are not referenced here at all. Gigas, minor Saints, and other characters are not referenced. Gold Saints and Titans don't have anything beyond vol.4. If anyone have the actual copy of the books, please help tagging references. Anthonydraco (talk) 07:11, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Aldebaran's "Ianuke" edit

I don't remember seeing any technique with this name in the manga. Could someone confirm it exists (or delete it otherwise)? Cyn starchaser (talk) 00:00, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Technique descriptions edit

If no one objects, I was considering deleting the descriptions of the Titans' techniques as no other character list from the Saint Seiya universe has such a thing for any other character and they might be too detailed for the scope of Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyn starchaser (talkcontribs) 19:16, 1 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Original research I noticed edit

Creation
  • Episode G author Megumu Okada stays true to the original concept of these characters.
Did he state that or is that an observation made from fans?
  • Looking further in that section, it sounds like self observation.
  • Did he state the characters were exclusive or was this also self observation?
Reception
  • a fact which divided the opinions of fans
Sounds like O.R. If the source was the french blog, what makes the source or reviewer reliable?

I may just be picky here but these were what I picked up when I skimmed the article. You could request a second opinion to assessing this article if you wish. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 02:30, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have to disagree that the two points in the creation section are OR. Those observations are made in the same spirit as a plot summary. Even though I could not find a source that said the same thing in so many words, the idea is present in the series. The only way I can think of sourcing this is either by providing specific examples of passages from both manga that have the characters saying nearly identical lines, or referencing the entire Saint Seiya franchise, so I am not sure how to do that. As for the issue in the reception, I do not think it is OR either, but I will try to add to it to make it less ambiguous. Cyn starchaser (talk) 12:31, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Did the author stat it was his intention to stay true to the original concept; or was this assumed? Plot summaries on the other hand are sourced primarily, they are of a different matter. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 19:43, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
The author has stated that his intention was to write a prequel to the original story. He doesn't say anything about the characters specifically, but it is logical to assume that he would also intend them to remain the same. Several events of the manga verify this: not only do the characters often repeat lines from the original manga, but entire scenes have been taken directly from it and replicated in Episode G with the only change being the drawing style. Maybe what the article needs is an explanation more along these lines? Cyn starchaser (talk) 02:21, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

<--This entire article is nothing but original research--89,559 bytes of cruft and counting. Drmies (talk) 17:58, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

How constructive. Still, care to explain how so? Cyn starchaser (talk) 14:09, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Quick assessments edit

My old self should've noted the accessibility and fancruft issues this article contains. It definitely contains unnecessary information, and you'll have to improve the prose to create concision. Unless the plot is significant to the character, leave it to the other articles to expand on that. It will take a huge rewrite to bring this to B, and by then the article will probably be less than 60kb. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 07:09, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
