PokéROM Gotta LEARN 'em all

Black and White

The information on Black and White is a little strange.

Pokedex: 1-5?? (+500 Tsutaja to ???) If you look at the information on the older games, the +xxx means how many new pokemon are added. This probably shouldn't be there, plus it suggests 500 new pokemon are being added. It's highly doubtful.

Release date for japan of Red/Blue

Release Date Order

Just looking at the original release date section of each game, some (Yellow, Gold & Silver etc.) are in chronological release date from earliest to latest, but others (Red & Blue, Emerald etc.) are in the order Japan -> North America -> Europe -> Australasia. They should all be in the same order, is there a consensus of if it should be by release date or region? BulbaThor (talk) 22:11, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Coloring of Pokémon titles within the table

Specifically, I am referring to this edit. I disagree with this choice to use different colors for the Pokémon tiles because it is both unnecessary as well as several of the font colors make the resulting text very hard to read due to the bad contrast between the text foreground color and the table background color. You are absolutely right. Going off of WP:COLOR, there's really no point in using color in this case and, for accessibility reasons, it would be best to leave it as it is. TheStickMan^[✆Talk] 21:03, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Sun/Moon Japanese Titles

The article says """Known in Japan as Poketto Monsutā Taiyō and Tsuki (ポケットモンスター日・ムーン lit. "Pocket Monsters: Sun and Moon"?)""", but isn't that wrong? Aren't they called ポケットモンスターサン・ムーン (Poketto Monsutā San and Mūn)? Even if not, "ムーン" is not read as "Tsuki" for sure - so it should either be read as "Mūn" or be written as "月". --14.3.86.126 (talk) 06:04, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!

Editors trying to remove Pokemon Let's Go from the main games section, please state your reasons and if you can sources as well. Multiple editors have now reverted your changes. At this point BRD dictates a discussion. Leave the accepted revision with Pokemon Let's Go as a main game. Let a consensus decide if the content should be removed instead of constantly reverting.

Mainline game definition

I would like to explore this topic a little bit further just so we have some community consensus on the definition of a mainline game. The IP user that was attempting to revert explained:

[...] it is not a main game as by the necessary definition of being able to trade pokemon between all of the main games, and as such it does not belong in the main game section. [...]

Now I am admittedly not well-versed on the definition of a mainline Pokemon game. However, I will say that as another user pointed out in their edit summary - with new consoles and technology, games will not be able to retain the ability to 'trade pokemon between all of the main games'. So I would like to ask if anyone could explain what defines a 'mainline Pokemon game'. Is it something that is confirmed by the studio that owns the intellectual property, or is it defined by some previous definition spelled out sometime ago? If anyone would like to pop in with a clarification on what defines a mainline Pokemon game, it would provide some basis/consensus for future editors to reference when making future changes to the article. Excellent sources and quite informative as well. For a layman I immediately have a better understanding of what is defined as mainline. Based on those sources I would agree that Let's Go is part of the main series.
