Remove Carteret NJ?

There is no significant Jewish community in Carteret. The Jewish presence is limited to a Yeshiva and the families of the two Deans. NoamB (talk) 00:20, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

I will answer that loaded question with another: Even if you can cite reliable sources that some yeshiva students do indeed live in Carteret, does a group of students constitute a "significant community" and a "sizable and cohesive population", as this list calls for? If you can find sources demonstrating that a sizable and cohesive Orthodox community exists in Carteret, we can revisit this. StonyBrook (talk) 06:03, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

I would argue that the existence of a large Yeshivah Gedolah and Mesivta constitutes a sizable and cohesive Orthodox community, but these are subjective definitions so I'm not opposed at all to deleting the Carteret entry.Smntstatus (talk) 19:30, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

Add Palm Desert CA?

Not a large number, but there's a neighborhood close to the closed Santa Rosa golf course, where on Saturday mornings, it's common to see a few Hasidic/ultra-Orthodox families walk down the street (no driving on the Sabbath) to the clubhouse where they hold religious meetings. Like Carteret NJ, I won't be surprised if there are 1,000 ultra-Orthodox Jews, but not the 10% of a community population that will be significant. 2605:E000:100D:C571:8921:AB9A:1584:4730 (talk) 22:08, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

The only Orthodox shuls in the area are Chabad of Rancho Mirage and Chabad of Palm Springs. Nothing else in the way of Orthodox infrastructure and this page doesnt include anywhere there is a Chabad house. Smntstatus (talk) 22:18, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
