Sealift & Reserve ships

This page was sorely in need of updating, as it appeared the last time this was done was almost 10 years ago. MSC released a detailed table of current ships at msc.navy.mil and from that I created a new table to add to the page. Also on the page was a list of Ready Reserve Force ships, and since the page was quite long already, I split them off to a new page; List of Ready Reserve Force ships. There is still a lot of work to do, for anyone who is interested in helping out. There are multiple articles with lists all related to Military Sealift Command, the Prepositioning Program and the US Navy's Reserve and Inactive Fleets. Along with updating, I'm sure some of these could be merged (and others possibly split off). It would be great if any interested parties could take a look at the associated pages and post any suggestions here. The pages are (including, but not limited to);

If there's any other articles you can think of, please add them. Any help here would be appreciated. These pages and lists are in need of a clean-up, updating and re-organizing. I also don't think we need as many pages. These fleets are shrinking and I also think one article can do the job of what two or three are doing right now. January 2018 update edit

MSC has expanded their programs from 5 to 8, and reshuffled some ships around. The table has been updated to reflect this. Other than the new program headers, no ships were added or removed from the article. 2 ships were moved from the table to 'previous ships' lists below. The programs poster/graphic at the top right corner was also updated. - theWOLFchild 19:00, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Images edit

By my count, there are 133 ships listed of which 94 had images and 29 still needed images. I took a look around on Commons today and found 18 images to add, so there is now only 11 ships that still need images. If anyone can find one or upload one (or more), please do so. It would be nice if we could complete the entire image column for this table. The ships still in need of an image are;

  1. MV C Commando
  2. MV Malama
  3. MV Capt. David I. Lyon (T-AK-5362)
  4. MV LTC John U.D. Page (T-AK-4543)
  5. T/B Sea Eagle (MB 1219)
  6. MT Empire State (T-AOT-5193)
  7. MT SLNC Pax (T-AOT-5356)
  8. USNS Miguel Keith (T-ESB-5)
  9. USNS Burlington (T-EPF-10)
  10. USNS Puerto Rico (T-EPF-11)
  11. USNS Newport (T-EPF-12)

Lewis and Clark edit

Why isn't there the full list of Lewis and Clark Dr Cargo ships? Sammartinlai (talk) 11:25, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oops, my eyes!Sammartinlai (talk) 11:25, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yep, the first two of the class have gone to pre-positioning, the rest are still actively supplying the fleet. It's easy to miss. - theWOLFchild 11:31, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
