List of McDonald's ad programsList of McDonald's advertising programs – More formal name, since "ad" is slang for "advertisement" and there should not be slang in article titles. Blubabluba9990 (talk) (contribs) 00:38, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

List of McDonald's advertising programsList of McDonald's marketing campaigns – Per request, "marketing campaign" is a more commonly used term than "advertising program". Blubabluba9990 (talk) (contribs) 15:09, 1 August 2021 (UTC) — Relisting. — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Support as "marketing campaign" is far and away the more common name to describe this topic. -- Netoholic @ 01:26, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment: I relisted that an RM discussion was closed a week before this was opened and I have therefore elected not to close this RM discussion as it would be fairly irregular for a consensus to have formed, and another consensus finding discussion to be commenced a week later. However, I have not simply closed this as out of process given it was raised as an option in the previous RM and Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy. I was tempted to relist it and notify the participants in the previous discussion to enable them to also participate in this discussion, however I wish for a second opinion on what to do so have done neither. Please do not hesitate to ping me if there are any questions. --Jack Frost (talk) 11:44, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Jack Frost: I concur with your assessment and am going ahead with its recommendations. pinging: @Sean Stephens, JIP, and Primergrey: and relisting. — Shibbolethink ( ) 16:20, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Shibbolethink and Jack Frost: I should've left a closing comment here, sorry - I reading a consensus to change "ad" to "advertising" - with no prejudice against a second RM immediately to change the term altogether. Thanks for the ping - I don't see this RM as out of process at all. Elli (talk | contribs) 23:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support – "marketing campaign" is more encyclopedic. Sean Stephens (talk) 00:26, 23 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Messed-up dates. edit

As noticed, all of the slogans have some messed-up dates on there. I've tried to remove one of them, but the other still uses the messed-up dates. Can you guys make sure that you re-use the correct dates again? thanks! BlueReturns (talk) 10:06, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
