Where are the Tie Games? edit

Houston has a half dozen official tie games since the franchise started...where are they? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.182.208.144 (talk) 00:04, 27 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yet again Wikipedia presents incorrect and/or inaccurate information. For an “encyclopedia” this is appalling, but for Wikipedia par for the course.

Since inception the Houston franchise has had a number of games recognized by MLB as a tie. Therefore the table showing only wins and losses is wrong. The following tie games are conspicuously missing from the Wikipedia entry:

1962 Season game 12 (25 April, 5-5 tie with Cardinals)

1962 Season game 145 (9 September, 7-7 tie with Mets)

1966 Season game 87 (16 July, 1-1 tie with Braves)

1975 Season game 133 (25 August, 3-3 tie with Cardinals)

2005 Season game 77 (30 June 2-2 tie with Reds)

While the science of “encyclopedia” building might allow for sloppy, slap-dash, amateurish work – baseball statistics are unforgiving and not up for interpretation. The Wiki-drone who decided to quietly ignore the tie games is not only incorrect, but a fool. Information on baseball is best left to the professionals at Encyclopedia Britannica. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 22:06, 28 September 2008 (talk) 71.182.180.142

    • There you go buddy. The great thing about this encyclopedia is that you can fix mistakes. Punx.django (talk) 22:47, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
