Company Policy? - No Theatrical Release of Sequels

edit

According to Siskel and Ebert's review of Aladdin and the 40 Thieves it is the Disney policy not to release a sequel to a Disney animated film in the theaters. Someone should check to see if this truly is company policy.

Bambi II

edit

Since Bambi II was released in theatres in quite a few countries, including some English-speaking ones, should it really be on this list? Esn 07:00, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Feature Film"

edit

A feature film by definition is a film that has been released in theaters. In other words, not "direct-to-video". This is a list of feature-length films.--DarshaAssant 18:38, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Remove Studio Ghibli Films

edit

These should be removed, since they are not direct to video. These films were released theatrically in Japan and other countries. They also appear in various film festivals in the United States. Casey14 00:10, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Honey we shrunk ourselves.jpg

edit

Image:Honey we shrunk ourselves.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

How about Hercules (1997)?

edit

Hercules is not a direct-to-video film produced by DisneyToon Studios, it's the theatrical release of a feature film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.147.198.171 (talk) 01:32, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I don't think anyone is making that claim in this article. To what are you referring, specifically? There is an entry for Hercules: Zero to Hero, which was a direct-to-video spinoff of the theatrical film. --McDoobAU93 13:08, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
