Talk:List of Delaware River tributaries

Intentions JUNE 2013

I started this article 17JUN2013 because there is a very long list of tributaries (over 40 major ones), and tributaries of tributaries to the Delaware, and I think they should be represented in a list. I've been planning to take Delaware River to GA or FA and think this might be a worthwhile project ancillary to my work there. I thought that the treatment of tributaries on the Delaware River article was a little lacking and to get into detail about them would be better addressed in a separate article while leaving a broader prose description of the Delaware's course and major tributaries at Delaware River.

I like that one similar list became a featured list (List of tributaries of Larrys Creek) and maybe someday this list could be included among Wikipedia's featured content. I'm not sure yet how to implement a table here like at the Larry's Creek article (which is quite informative) or if a basic outline list would be better. That I'll continue to explore and play with.

For the meantime, I've copied the tributary section from the Delaware River article, but will be expanding it shortly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. --ColonelHenry (talk) 14:02, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Tohickon Creek completed.

I have just completed writing articles on all rivers/streams which empty into the Delaware within Bucks County, so I updated the list in this article, and took the liberty of removing the Tohickon Creek from the incomplete list as it is now complete. I did not remove Neshaminy as I was concerned with Bucks County and did not go into Montgomery, so I don't know if it's complete or incomplete.Are1718 (talk) 05:11, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
