This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because...

Article now edited to include specific statement of importance. Riot grrrl is recognized (e.g. academically: books, exhibitions, etc) as important cultural movement inc. link to third wave feminism. Linus were an integral band in the early UK riot grrrl scene, alongside Huggy Bear, Mambo Taxi, etc. Linus have also been written about in encyclopedias, books and academia (see references), and their records were reviewed (favourably) in the national press. --Gildedlol (talk) 20:19, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
