Charts

edit

I'll assume that someone has simply recorded the wrong information - that or someone is hoping to suggest a better performance of the song - but the chart tracking seems VERY questionable. I found perhaps 2 or 3 correct and verifiable chart positions for this song. I've been able to verify, or correct the following entries directly from Billboards charts (and corrected the references): U.S. Billboard Hot 100, U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, U.S. Billboard Pop 100, U.S. Billboard Pop 100 Airplay, U.S. Billboard Hot Digital Tracks, U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Airplay, Billboard Canadian Hot 100 I cannot verify the rest without more access to billboard charts which I do not have. If any diligent billboard enthusiast (like myself, but perhaps with a subscription?) can correct and give some credibility to these listings? The song seems to be doing well enough on its own without someone recording incorrect chart statistics. (99.242.107.142 (talk) 08:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC))Reply

The mediabase statistics are in compliance with Wikipedia guidelines as I read them. Mediabase is a well known company that tracks radio-airplay which is a verifiable component of the guidelines. While some networks and shows (American Top 40 etc) derive their list FROM the mediabase charts, that is not a violation. Mediabase is a well known industry rating as wikipedia's own article suggests. Perhaps I'm missing something? I will re add them after a reasonable amount of time if there is no response (99.242.107.142 (talk) 20:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC))Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
