Possible areas of expansion:

While researching this on Newspapers.com I noticed articles on resuming the entire route of the City of Los Angeles (Los Angeles–Las Vegas–Ogden). These were from 1974 onwards. This eventually became the Desert Wind in 1979. That's a story for the latter article but some mention here is appropriate.
Senator Howard Cannon was active in pushing the Desert Wind and may have been involved in these trains as well.
There are sources discussing the equipment for the Celebrity Train and the Las Vegas Limited sufficient for a short Equipment section. I haven't see anything on the Fun Train, but some enterprising railfan has to have written it down. The presence of Hi-Levels on the Celebrity Train is an interesting sidebar.
Route: this is unclear. Presumably all the trains used a mixed ATSF/UP routing, taking the ATSF Second District via Pasadena. The Las Vegas Limited stopped in Barstow but the Celebrity Train didn't.
Craig Sanders says four iterations of this train: a fun train during winter 71–72 and again in 72–73, the celebrity train, and the Las Vegas Limited. I haven't found anything else to substantiate the 72–73 train.
Pictures: I strongly doubt there's a free image of any of these trains, but it's possible. In the alternative a period picture of Las Vegas in the body of the text might be justified.
