This article contains much of the same material, and was created by the same editors, from the same questionable sources as the House of Landi article. I suspect it may have been created in an effort to create a POV fork allowing the author to create his own preferred version of the material. I do not believe there is much material here that is not already covered at House of Landi; I recommend a simple redirect. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 02:27, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Fine with me. —Psychonaut (talk) 08:32, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Landi State stands alone as the longest lived of the Papal States, the largest at that time and did not survive the entire history of the royal line on Landi ,"House of Landi," The State started with the purchase of the lands of Piacenza and the Ceno and Taro Valley's. The House of Landi of the Holy Roman Empire started later and outlasted the Holy Roman Empire Their are still Royal Landi line members to this day in the 21st century. It was the Landi State that the Vatican had a hand in almost wiping from history. This is clear in Cardinal Samore's Book "Lo Stato Landi," You do as you like 107.77.76.121 (talk) 22:42, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article does not state that the Landi State was one of the Papal States. The fact that the House of Landi and the Landi State are not exactly co-eval is not really relevant. The House of Landi pre-dated the Landi State, and the House of Landi survived the fall of the Landi State, making the entire history of the Landi State part and parcel of the history of the House of Landi, at whose article the Landi State's history is already meticulously detailed, negating the need for a second article. Every name and title is referenced to Italian encyclopedias, and the Italian Version of Wikipedia. Everything else is in black and white in Cardinal Antonio Samore's .Lo Stato Landi," 1983 referenced from the Vatican archives and the ADLP Library. IF you are questioning The Cardinal and The Doria Pamphili Library good luck. It is all cross referenced to multiple sources. !st If you cant read Italian use Goole translate, same for Latin. Every Vatican source is referenced in Samore's book from 97 books documents from the Secret Vatican Archives. "non est argumentum ad hominem" Oh just in case. Stop attacking the messenger. Do your job and read the reference material. Samore's book is not questioned by anyone it is referenced from over a hundred Vatican sources. Find someone who can read Italian and Latin. Encyclopedia Britannica has accepted these materials for and article to be published in next edition. They did there homework.107.77.76.121 (talk) 14:46, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

References to Wikipedia (English, Italian or any other language) are not considered reliable sources because, as we see, anyone can edit and change the information. We need better references than that. The other references are valid, and I'm not questioning them. What I am questioning is the need for an article on the Landi State separate from the article on the House of Landi which already covers the topic of the Landi State in as much detail as is needed, given the obscurity of the sources. As for accusations that I have "attacked the messenger", please point out what I have said that is any way an ad hominem argument. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:59, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Replacing the subsection (The Landi State) on the "House of Landi' page, with this material, as is, and adding the subsection ,"The Rulers of the Landi State" to the House of Landi page, with all the references here listed, seems to make sense. Additional indisputable reference was added recently to House of Landi. In English and Italian. The material here covers the entire history of The Landi State with every Royal Ruler, Consort and Period, referenced directly from Italian Encyclopedias, "verbetim" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.77.76.125 (talkcontribs)

None of the information in this article that goes beyond the information already at House of Landi can be reliably verified. The list of leaders is entirely sourced to "search results" pages at the Treccani encyclopedia cite, all of which searches come up empty. I have simply redirected this article to the existing material at House of Landi. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:41, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
