Laado 2 edit

Where is the plot? Liya Sara Joseph (talk) 15:33, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Formatting of article edit

It's essentially one giant paragraph consisting of extremely short sentences describing single actions that are taking place. It also uses "she" over 100 times without specifying if "she" is referring to Anushka or Champa or any other character. Horep (talk) 14:21, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copyright concerns edit

In this edit Fanandthelights added a wall of plot content that I'd removed in these edits, concerned about copyright violations. Fanandthelights, I need to know where you got that plot summary that you pasted into the article. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:26, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Parameters edit

@Cyphoidbomb: I reverted your edit [2] as per the sources Laado 2 is a sequel series of Na Aana Is Des Laado not a spin-off. Thanks. Sid95Q (talk) 17:29, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sid95Q, I appreciate your note. The article lead is ambiguous, since it calls this series a "Sequel or Spin-off Series". Seems like we should pick one. I see your point about it being a "sequel", though that's somewhat of a bizarre way to label a TV series. Most series have seasons, even if they might occur a year or so apart. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:08, 18 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Cyphoidbomb: This is lack of knowledge about the terminology of the users. The term Spin-off is relatively new for some TV viewers in India so they don't know where to use it. Few days back I was explaining some what the meaning of spin-off, reboot, prequel and a sequel. So I removed Spin-off from lead.

Seasons is just promotional tool used by the makers. People of India eagerly wait for the next season of American series. So makers use "season" word to promote their sequel series. Having said that I think both pages Na Aana Is Des Laado and Laado 2 should be merged because of lack of content.

I have one more issue, Users started mentioning years in the cast section like "Meghna Malik as Bhagwani Devi Sangwan / Ammaji (Dead )(2017-18)" . I think this thing is making the section disruptive like if an recurring cast member who was part of few story arcs in shows 4 years history users will write "Actor as Character (2014,2015,2016, 2017). So I think we should remove these years history as i think it the indian version of episodes and as per WP:TVCAST The cast listing should not contain an episode count so we should do something with this. Thanks. Sid95Q (talk) 06:18, 18 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sid95Q: I believe the spirit of "...should not contain an episode count" is meant more to control kids' TV, where a lot of child editors would note the number of times a character would appear on SpongeBob. That's just my guess, though. I don't have a problem with the year ranges, because it ultimately helps with sorting cast members per WP:TVCAST. If I know that someone entered the series in 2017, I know that they belong above someone who entered in 2018. Indian TV articles, for whatever reason, inspire editors to only list the most current cast. These editors tend to discard anybody who's left the series. While I'm not a big fan of the excessive parentheticals in these TV articles "Jane Doe as Judy Smith/Baklava/Judy Parikh (fake name) (2015-2016)(Dead)(Second parallel female Antagonist)" I do think the years can be helpful. I do see your concern about stuff like (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017) but in that one example, those ranges could be combined to 2014–2017. Even if they didn't appear in 2016 it would probably still work.
