Ford Commercials edit

Tonight I've seen two US Ford Commercials on CNN for the their C-MAX Hybrid that are based on the La Linea series of shorts. It's been years since I saw these shorts on The Great Space Coaster so I had to come here to look them up. Then I compared them to some of the shorts on YouTube and, yep, they totally match. On further looking around, I found this page: http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2012/10/ford-c-max-commercials-launch-with-la-linea-video.html . I don't edit Wikipedia pages directly myself, but I figure someone would probably want to add this.

On another note, it appears that not only are they using the "La Linea" cartoon series, there is a further link because Ford calls these C-MAX cars "La Linea" overseas. http://www.lalinea.de/index.php/Ford/54/0/

Older edit

Its a pity that this Italian cartoon series doesnt have a page in Italian itself. I guess a lot of first hand info could be had from a person who has seen the cartoons and has known this series in its original cultural context.

  • now there is...

Many American children were introduced to "La Linea" in the early to mid-1980s when clips of the cartoons were shown, seemingly uncredited, on the television program "The Great Space Coaster." Roy (Ray Stevens) would often take out a small, hand-held device and show the clips to Goriddle Gorilla. Interesting to note that Goriddle was played by Kevin Clash, who went on to much greater success as the puppeteer for Elmo on Sesame Street...and that the voice of the main character in the La Linea shorts arguably sounds like Elmo speaking in Italian. I'd add at least the first part of this to the La Linea entry here, but I don't know Wikipedia protocol and I know how, eh, particular you Wikipedi-ists can be. =)

There's an strangle erotic episode called Eros Linea. Didn't see that on Great Space Coaster. Mark Forest 23:40, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:La linea.gif edit

Image:La linea.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Alternative titles edit

What's the difference between Turkey and Turkiye? There are two different verses in the section "Alternative titles" for the Turkish titles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.160.202.180 (talk) 12:48, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
