Founding Church vs. Original Founding Church edit

The similar names are confusing when trying to locate sources, but if someone wants to write an article about the Founding Church (aka Fraser Mansion, listed on the NRHP), here's two pictures and an infobox to get you started (just type in "Fraser" and scroll down to "DC"). Who runs the museum? edit

Is it the Church of Scientology? If it is, then why should we even bother considering it a museum. You can't trust anything they say about L. Ron Hubbard. They would fill a museum with nothing but exhibits praising and glorifying their founder. In other words, bull crap (I know that isn't very academic of me, but that's just what it is.) Of course, as an opinion, it has nothing to do with the article, and I will thus make no effort to add it. Returning to the issue at hand, my point is that we should add who runs the museum into the article. (2602:306:25A5:8AB9:E96F:AEE4:7209:1876 (talk) 20:09, 23 May 2013 (UTC))Reply

Unsupported content edit

I've tagged several of the sources here because they either do not mention the article subject at all, or do not support the claim to which they are attached. If there are other sources to support the content please add them. Failing that I'll remove the content unsupported by reliable sources in the near future. I've removed the NHRP failed verification tag as the NHRP listing for the Dupont Circle Historic District clearly does cover the location of this property. I've also made the reference more useful. And, I removed the notability tagging – APK is right, that this 20 year old article meets notability standards is a no-brainer. 172.195.96.244 (talk) 15:31, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's "a no brainer" is not really an argument. The two mentions in reliable secondary sources strain to meet WP:SIGCOV. Thanks for indicating the record ID. The assertion that the property is part of the aforementioned district is not in the source, and I've therefore removed it because we do not use original research here. More sources needed which are about the article subject edit

There are multiple sources on this page; only a small proportion of them actually mention the article subject. Even fewer of those are WP:SECONDARY sources. If folks know of reliable secondary sources which are focused on the article subject please bring them here to talk or add them to the page directly to help demonstrate subject notability. Broken links (NRHP) edit

While trying to locate the recorded application containing the Church of Scientology's narrative and evidence about the building's connection to Scientology/Hubbard, I was unable to locate it through any of the NRHP links... the links all failed. Searching npgallery.com for the alleged NRHP ref number or name gave me nothing. Someone who knows this system, please update all the links. Thank you. Grorp (talk) 00:09, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

The DC site that hosts all of that has done some kind of update which removed a lot of useful info and links. The application can be found at the bottom of this link. APK whisper in my ear 04:37, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I just checked the archive link on the first reference and the application is there now. APK whisper in my ear 04:39, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Grorp: I made the changes yesterday because the main link wasn't working and, as you had mentioned above, people would be unable to find the form. I used the DC Preservation League, which is run by a supervisor of the District of Columbia Public Library, which I had linked above. Next time there's something that concerns you, just drop me a note instead of an edit summary that seems unnecessary. Have a good rest of the week.
