Kudos. This article gives readers a clear idea of what Korean independent music can be and how it has evolved. I think it's almost ready to go, but just one comment on the lead section.

"Korean indie, referring to Independent music in South Korea, has begun developing in the 1990s, particularly in an area called Hongdae, situated in northwestern Seoul.[1] It has been the opposite of K-Pop in terms that the musicians’ authentic messages are emphasized through their music, instead of a commercialized image targeted towards a specific audience.[2]" -- the second source cited here doesn't seem like very credible, so I would suggest revising this sentence in a way that it sounds more neutral. "It has represented a counterpart to K-pop" or something similiar...

The only thought I had is for the sentence, "Pippi Band was an unconventional indie grunge band that debuted in 1995, with a lead singer who couldn't carry a tune", I'm not sure if the idiom added there is appropriate/required (just a thought). Overall, I think the article is amazing!

The early 2000s, Korean indie music had grown and become popular enough to perform in the music programs of major broadcasters such as KBS, SBS, and MBC in Korea. One time, one indie band called Rux performed on LIVE music program at MBC. The music program had a section for indie bands and the performance was a big one other indie bands performed together. During the show, some people from a different band called Couch undressed their pants and underwear. It was live on air and social impact was big. Not only the bands were banned from broadcasters, but also indie band lost their stage to perform in general. This incident is a shocking part of Korean indie band history so it would be good to add.
