I have a copy of this book in the Carpchives. If this version gets deleted I can scan another and we can all come up with a good fair use, etc. And echoing the coment from 2008, why doea this get vandalized so much? Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 17:04, 12 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of 'Berliner Kunsthochschule'

edit

I changed the name of the art school where he taught in Berlin. See de:Vereinigte Staatsschulen für freie und angewandte Kunst. The German article lists Karl Blossfeldt as a well-known teacher there, though without a specific reference. The names of the Berlin art schools are confusing. I replaced 'Berliner Kunsthochschule' with this name. You might guess that 'Berliner Kunsthochschule' could be a reference to de:Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, but the latter was in operation only from 1946. Anyone who wants to study this question further might also look at de:Universität der Künste Berlin EdJohnston (talk) 02:09, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Editing Plans

edit

I plan to make edits to this article in the upcoming weeks. First I plan to edit the lead section by removing unnecessary and unsourced information that is not mentioned elsewhere in the article. This will help to ensure all information included has been reliably sourced. I also intend to add the appropriately sourced material in the lead section, that is not yet revisited, to the appropriate sections in the body of the article. This will help to give readers an easily digestible overview of the topic. Second, I plan to revise the headings of the article. Currently the “biography” and Life and Legacy section do not include noticeably different content. I plan to retitle the section Life and Legacy to Legacy. Here I will keep information concerning Karl Blossfeldt’s legacy after his death. I will move information about his life from the preexisting Life and Legacy section into the Biography section where I will also add additional information about his early life and career. Third, I plan to add a section on his Artistic work and style. Here I will discuss the unique characteristics of his work and overall style. I will also include information about his more famous photographs and his publications. I will also talk about aspects of his artistic process such as his tools and sources of inspiration. By restructuring the body of the article will result in a better flow and more clearly distinguishable sections. Finally, I intend to clean up some smaller grammatical mistakes such as punctuation errors and refining wordy sentences. My annotated bibliography is located in the bibliography sandbox on the wikipedia dashboard. Hsilva234 (talk) 00:49, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like you have some good improvements in mind, looking forward to seeing them and good luck. TylerBurden (talk) 00:52, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
