I thought Kaoma was a Brazillian band, and brought to world fame by a french producer. This article seems not correct — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.41.157.226 (talk)

Furthermore, their "hit" song was not a "translation". They stole the song, changed the rythm and attempted to pass it of as their own. I went ahead and changed the article to reflect that.--190.135.39.73 (talk) 13:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, Kaoma's version is an exact copy of Marcia Ferreira's rendition, complete with the same lyrics in Portuguese and fast dance style, compared to Los Kjarkas' original version. Ferreira's rendition was authorized by Los Kjarkas, but Kaoma's was not, therefore Los Kjarkas sued Kaoma for illegal plagiarism. I have changed the article to reflect this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.251.79.247 (talk) 07:00, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Who stole what?

edit

The bolivians could be the creators but it was Kaoma who made it famous around the world. Don't be foolish, man! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.58.169.114 (talk) 02:02, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Genre: Zouk, since when??

edit

The singer is Brazilian but most musicians are French, this is perhaps why it is considered the French group. But, Kaoma is absolutely not a group of Zouk. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Idylh (talkcontribs) 12:51, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
