Unfortunately the information on this site is NOT as accurate as it should be: Kadee Metal Products was founded by indentical twin brothers Keith and Dale Edwards (KADEE) was named in the early 1940's using their initials, as they begun to make turn-outs, but was suspended as they entered the Air Corp and subsequently exited a few years later to pursue their business. In 1947 the Kadee boys created what would be the beginning of a revolution in the model railroad industry by creating a fully functioning metal knuckle coupler that looked and worked like the real ones on the trains. Keith and Dale built a small business that helped change the industry in a way that modelers could now mimic the breaking of trains with the magne-matic® knuckle couplers after moving the company to Medford, OR in 1955. After many years of growth, the two decided that it would be best to "Split" the company and Kadee would take the coupler portion from HO scale and larger and Micro-Trains (the N scale rolling stock they made) would be Keith's along with products N scale and smaller. In 1990 Kadee Quality Products built a new building and relocated in White City, OR and Micro-Trains did so in Talent, OR. Dale Edwards is still an intrical part of Kadee and is the Chairman of the Board and at age 93 was proceeded in death by the passing of Keith on July 26, 2012 and his wife Grace Edwards several years earlier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.116.47.238 (talk) 18:02, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
