I realise that The Hindu source of 5 August 2011 says he was elected from Saidapet in 1980 and 1989, as well as 1996, but the records available at the Election Commission of India clearly show that he was not elected from that constituency in those years. He may have been elected in other years and/or in other constituencies - need to check that. - Sitush (talk) 14:33, 8 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
