Supposed death vs. serious violations of WP:BLP

edit

Hi @Fifkka:, further to the conversation you posted on my talk page, I see you have created an online tribute page for June Kenney, then tried to link to it on her Wiki page as a source for her alleged death. I cannot stress this enough – it was never confirmed if June Kenney died earlier this year or not. A post appeared on the Mutti Mewse (film historians) Instagram account. I emailed them and they said they had heard that she supposedly died, but they admitted that it hadn't been confirmed their end. To add to that, the year of birth and age they used was wrong which suggested that they may have mixed the actress up with a similarly named individual. Please go and delete that online memorial you have made on ForeverMissed. If June Kenney is indeed still alive, this could potentially cause a huge deal of stress and anxiety for her family or friends. We are straying into serious WP:BLP violation territory here. Please be more responsible. Thank you --Jkaharper (talk) 03:25, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I did the same with Mutti Mewse's Instagram page where I asked and they told me that "sadly the news came from a secretary at the Screen Actors Guild of which June was a member" I thought that unfortunately she had passed away, because it was SAG. The obituary was deleted, sorry, but there are still people who believe that June is dead and can do the same as I did. I do not know where this whole story started? where did you base that she died. From Mutti Mewse's Instagram post ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fifkka (talkcontribs) 07:04, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the only place online that mentioned her death is that Instagram page. It would be acceptable to create an online tribute if some kind of formal confirmation came about, such as a social media post from a relative, or a gravestone record at her local cemetery, just like how we were able to prove Val Bettin's death recently. But, until we get confirmation, I suggest waiting. IF she was indeed a member of SAG-AFTRA, then she will appear in the In Memoriam section of their Autumn magazine issue (which should appear on this page here within the next few weeks). --Jkaharper (talk) 13:44, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Whattt? Really? Oh noo, poor Val. It's been 10 months, why so late. I can't believe no news, no obituary. Why all this stars are forgotten. What a shame. Thank you and please for all actors and actresses update if they passed away especially above 80, 90 and 100 of Golden Age of Hollywood. Thank you again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fifkka (talkcontribs) 14:48, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
