Where's the dispute? edit

Where's the dispute? Where's the discussion? The NPOV notice was added in January, 2008. There've been no "disputes" since then. I think it's time to remove the notice. The article is practically word for word from "The New Catholic Encyclopedia." If the NCE phrasing is not acceptable, many other articles will have to be removed. Doctor of the Church edit

I removed the Doctor of the Church from the infobox and added yet to be officially declared to the relevant article section. JSilvanus (talk) 23:20, 22 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, since this John is to become a universal doctor of the church, it should be given a priority level above low. JSilvanus (talk) 23:25, 22 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Are you sure? because this link from Rome Reports says that he is officially declared as a universal doctor of the church. --Jayarathina (talk) 09:57, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
In this case, the offical news website of the Vatican is more relevant IMHO. It reads :" Pope Benedict XVI announced he would shortly declare the great XVIth century preacher,St. John of Avila , doctor of the universal Church". The newspapers took a shortcut and announce John of Avila was made the 33th Doctor of the Church, which is not the same. The declaration and corresponding publication is yet to come, although the decision is already taken.--Alberto Fernandez Fernandez (talk) 13:42, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pedantic point, but should the title include the accent over the capital A? PatGallacher (talk) 17:26, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
