Educational background
editKindly include more information about Mr. Toland's educational attainment. In one web site it is reported that Toland attended Williams College and Yale University. Is this accurate?
Sources
editPreviously we provide two references here, both {dead link} obituaries, now [ref name=AP] and [ref name=barnes]. I recovered the one from La Crosse Tribune --byline Associated Press with note that a Tribune writer contributed.
The other is from The Washington Post.

I don't know the meaning of "notFound=true" here, as the final clause in a compound URL, so I tried the alternative without it.
German Wikipedia de:John Toland (Historiker) links another {dead} obituary.
From the archive I added the autobiographical External link "Living History" by Toland (1990). German Wikipedia links an interview from the "two-minute CBS Radio show, Book Beat" (audio, 1985, English).
