Apparently Sinclair was Provost of Thurso from 1948 to 1961, and Lord Lieutenant of Caithness from 1965. There should be newspaper records. Charles Matthews (talk) 05:11, 18 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have just been trying to find sources but they are thin on the ground. His obituary and various articles about him would have been published in the local papers, The John O Groat Journal or the Caithness Courier, however only a small amount of those have been digitised. There are plenty of pictures and Facebook posts of memories of him, however these do not meet Wikipedia's source requirements. --ScottishNardualElf (talk) 14:37, 22 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
