Was John Oliver Highschool in Vancouver named after him too?
This former Premier of the province of British Columbia recognized the symbolism of the apple - he was always eating from a basket of them on the floor of the Legislative Assembly. My authority on this is the History of BC Politics course led by Norman Ruff. Unfortunately, I can't find adequate independent support of this.
