Glaring Silence as to WWI Service
editI understand that even for VVC recipients there’s a limit to how comprehensive we can expect service record to be, especially when a good century and then some have passed. However, the brief information provided her makes it clear that he was an active officer during World War I. I cannot help but comment that the lack of any details regarding what he did during this time is perplexing. Even if he did nothing, I would imagine readers of this type of Wikipedia entry would be very appreciative of a few lines on this subject. For example, “was stationed in such and such and did not see action during WWI.” 2600:1700:B801:43C0:5B:5EDE:5143:87D (talk) 00:31, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
