John David Carson IS DEAD edit

Unfortunately, John David Carson is definitely dead. I know this because I actually SPOKE to his wife Diana on the phone, and I did that because I had attempted to contact Carson, intending to write an article about his career in B-movies and television, and seeking an interview with him. I missed him by only a few months - to my enormous disappointment and sadness.

His widow was extremely nice and helpful when I spoke to her; she said John would have loved the opportunity to talk to me. From everything I've heard, he was a very nice guy. I had several more exchanges, via email, with her. This was back in 2009, shortly after I wrote this Wikipedia page.

Virtually ALL the various postings online about Carson's death, whether they're on blogs, B-movie websites, Youtube comments sections, etc - are a result of my initial announcement on an online forum that Carson had died - I did so after finding this out from Diana. He was likely not a famous enough actor for the Hollywood buzz to have picked up the news of his passing; in this case, it seems to have been my research that made the news public (and I'm not saying this to be boastful - if anything, I find it exceptionally depressing.)

In the references field, for the page, I very deliberately entered the data to link viewers to the Death Certificates search page for the state of Nevada, even providing instructions to search for John David Carson and that his death was a matter of public record (which I also noted in the citation itself.) Originally, doing so would bring up his death certificate, on which you could plainly see his information and his cause of death (Lymphoma.) However, for some reason, as of this writing (7/19/2012) it no longer comes up in a search (I just checked.) I have no idea why this is.

You will just have to take me at my word here with all of this; I'm not sure what else I can do to convince you, and I certainly would not have any reason to make something like this up. I hope this provides the necessary information to revert the page back to its original state. Golden Hound (talk) 06:35, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Deceased or alive? edit

One source says that he is dead. However, I am concerned about its reliability to verify his death. Calling a "possibly living person" dead would be a repeat of Kip Noll (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard/Archive146#Kip Noll). By the way, I'm planning to remove the uncited birth date. --George Ho (talk) 02:38, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I did a lot of searching and found no trace of an obit in google news. would we be able to contact the source listed and find out where they got their info? -- The Red Pen of Doom 02:46, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I dont know about you, but I am having a hoot reading the plot lines of some of these stories. Personal favs so far "...where they come face to face with a man in an ape suit." and "except that under the full moon he becomes 'Charlene', dressing in womens clothing and stalking his elderly mother" -- The Red Pen of Doom 04:11, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
To what you were referring? --George Ho (talk) 04:28, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am looking for sources for something to say about this guy, but the only thing I am finding are his name in the credits for shows with hilarious plots. So its not been very productive, but it has been amusing. -- The Red Pen of Doom 04:44, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

According to the e-mail I received, the man who wrote that article is no longer with the company. The sender wasn't sure where the source originated. --George Ho (talk) 00:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
