Classification

edit

Usually B-Class articles have more content than this, which is why I was confused when I first saw a two section article with only 4 citations, one of them being broken (missing title). While the sources appear to be reliable, I did not believe that the article was suitably sourced for the B-Class criteria. Now, I'm not implying that a citation is needed every sentence, but a majority of his academic career is unreferenced. I will admit that changing to start-class was ultimately too hasty, which was just a gut-jerk reaction to seeing an AfC article emerge in B-Class. In the end, I understand that this is a losing argument when it's me against an Oversighter, and it isn't a huge problem in the whole scheme of things.

I did some personal research on John C. Whittaker upon your reply, and I'll give you that the article properly covers the subject. While I was skeptical at the length and lack of citations upon first glance, I cannot find anything notable that should be included besides what is currently in the article; flintknapping is the prime topic for Whittaker. While it would be beneficial to find more sources on this topic, for I cannot deny that the target is indeed notable, I suppose that the article is just fine. I just didn't believe that uncited paragraphs with only four sources to boot was enough to reach B-Class, but it technically passes the criteria upon reinspection (perhaps not requirement 1, but that's debatable and I'm willing to be wrong here.) In the end, maybe I was just a bit too harsh and should have done more research on the topic before quickly changing the classification. Beyond that, cheers User:Joe Roe! I've only read nobody believes what I've got. I have this Arrowhead that was potlidded from this chunk of Flint. I also have the pot the lid came from. Same outside and inside. The story is it is light color on inside and burnt on outside... the unbelievable story is wrong. I found the Arrowhead and my cousin found the pot or the pot the lid came from. I can prove this. True story. I have both sides of the pot...lid and pot.. thanks 174.250.193.117 (talk) 15:49, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is James Adams again, I've also found another chunk with 2 Arrowheads knapped from it. 1 off each side. Perfect Arrowhead bowls on each side. I will never find the Arrowheads popped. 174.250.193.117 (talk) 15:52, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
