So why aren't there any picture of her?

We need an image with a free license. We don't allow fair use for photographies of living persons, because someone could take a photo of the person and license it under a free license. --Enric Naval (talk) 17:53, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I propose to use an external link to the Daily Mail, a British tabloid.[2] The Daily Mail has not been well received at WP:RSN, but many comments have said that it is context dependent - to avoid (?) controversy I propose to use only the external link without even including the title of the article or sourcing any statements from it. In theory, if we had better policies, we should take some of these images for Fair Use in the article with appropriate discussion. Wnt (talk) 01:50, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I for one am extremely happy that this article does not have a picture of her. 99.226.40.134 (talk) 17:32, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'm moving this link into the article itself, per WP:ELRC, WP:AVOIDVICTIM and comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jocelyn Wildenstein (2nd nomination). -- Trevj (talk) 09:58, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nonsense name in infobox edit

I have removed the nonsense name from the infobox. This appears on several web pages but is inconsistently spelled in the reference provided (other pages have two "n"s rather than the three appearing here). Apart from its mention in the infobox it did not appear in the article. If restored, we need a reliable, accurate reference and reliably sourced context in the article justifying its inclusion. Removed text was:

Jocelynnys Dayannnys da Silva Bezerra[1]

  1. ^ [1] Mail Online, Daily Mail Staff Writer, "He's brave!"

It is also reasonably clear that her correct birth name is Jocelyne Périsset, although this also appears in every imaginable anglicisation. I have updated the article to use that, following Konigsberg 1997 use of the first name, Alec N. Wildenstein and fr:Jocelyne Wildenstein. --Mirokado (talk) 19:52, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some tidying up edit

I have removed one of the inline refs to Carlin & McNeil 1998: we don't need three references to support one sentence that is not being challenged, one book and one online reference with relevant quote is enough. Also removed Lansky & McGinnis 2008 citation which is no longer used. --Mirokado (talk) 21:34, 9 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pilot edit

Pilot - sounds cool, and there is no proof of a French pilot license of hers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:46:1A7C:A324:65B1:FAF7:E8E8:8EE1 (talk) 02:02, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Editing Libelous recent edits. edit

First please know that I am personal acquaintance of Mrs. Wildenstein. I have removed recent postings about a personal legal entanglement involving an argument with her friend Lloyd Klein. This information quoted from the Daily Mail is not of importance to this article. In fact the alleged incident which was grossly exaggerated in the gossip columns has been resolved and the New York Courts have dropped all charges. I've also edited the information regarding Mrs. Wildenstein's listing of her NY apartment. This is not important or pertinent to this article. Listing of comments on the value or current or previous listing prices especially when the listing is current have libelous consequences and are blatantly in defiance of Wiki policy.Fashionator (talk) 01:50, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

And I am the King of China and herewith order that the alterations by the person above be reversed instantly.
Bravo on that quip and the reversal. 69.143.156.77 (talk) 17:37, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Birth year edit

Numerous sources have either said she was born in 1940 or 1945…when was she born? 2600:100C:A211:7F18:4573:3C78:3EF5:2CF5 (talk) 05:10, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
